The Absolute family
Mark and colours
The pin comes from Absolute, unchanged. Inside it, an open door: the family chevron becomes a roof with walls. The colour is “Dusk”, evening light in the windows. Here: how the mark is built, which colour goes where and how the voice sounds.
Family
One pin for all three, taken unchanged from the Absolute mark. Absopit stands apart by the colour of its chevron. AbsoHome by shape: the chevron becomes a roof with walls, so the mark reads in one colour too.

Wordmarks
“abs” + the mark for the “o” + the tail. Unbounded Black, lower case, tracking −0.04 em, the whole word slanted −10°. Letters in Ink on light, white on dark.
The AbsoHome mark: “Open door”
The family chevron — the same arms, the same angle, the same stroke — lifted by 1.2 and carried down by two walls. No floor: the doorway is open. The door is open to your people — come in.
Construction
- 4.6 × 5.8
- roof arms — the same as the family chevron
- 51.6°
- slope of the arms: a steep roof
- 3.2
- stroke, with round caps and joins
- +1.2
- the roof sits higher than the chevron: apex at 10 instead of 11.2
- 6.8
- walls down to 22.6; no floor
- 9.2
- doorway width — also the clear space

Icon
128 · 64 · 32 · 16 px
A 64 square, corner radius 14, Dusk field. Ink pin at 0.9 scale, the doorway in the field’s colour.
On a 16 × 16 icon the pin is about 8 px, and the inner sign of every family mark merges into 2–3 pixels. There the icon stands apart by its field colour.
Minimum size
The mark: 16 px high at least. The wordmark: lower case 12 px high at least. Below, both at their minimum, actual size.

Why not the same chevron in another colour
That is how the Absopit mark is made: the same mark, a Saffron chevron. For AbsoHome this does not work: Dusk and Saffron are almost equally light — 1.09:1 by the WCAG formula, measured on this page. In grey or one-colour print the marks would merge. The doorway differs by shape and holds without colour.

The “Dusk” palette
A bright fill with Ink text on it is how the whole family works: Volt for Absolute, Saffron for Absopit, Dusk for AbsoHome. Contrast below is calculated by the WCAG 2.1 formula right on this page.

Which colour goes where
Do
- Dusk as a fill under Ink text. Dusk as text — only on Ink.
- Coloured text and links on light: Dusk-deep.
- On the map, Dusk only inside Ink: the text of a “no money” mark, a district fill under an Ink outline.
- Paid and free differ by word and fill, not by colour alone.
- Volt is the bridge to Absolute, Saffron the bridge to Absopit, Flame the demo and warnings. One role each.
Don’t
- White text on Dusk.
- Dusk as text on Paper or white.
- Dusk on one badge with Volt, Saffron or Flame.
- Dusk straight on the map ground, without an Ink outline.
- Volt, Saffron or Flame as decoration.
How far from the colours already taken
The family and the Absolute map already use seven colours. Dusk is ΔE00 26.7 from the nearest, Mind. The bar is 20: no closer than the system keeps its own categories; its own “different” colours sit 21.9–37.1 from their nearest neighbour.

Nearest colour under colour blindness
- ProtanopiaMind — 17.8
- DeuteranopiaSpirit — 18.0
- TritanopiaSaffron — 22.5
Protanopia and deuteranopia fall below 20, at the level of the system’s own pairs: Feelings and Spirit under deuteranopia are 16.6. From Volt and Saffron under deuteranopia Dusk is more than 54 — no third indistinguishable pair in the family. Home marks on the map also differ by shape.

Map marks
A mark sits at the centre of a district, not on the house: the exact address opens only to a guest with a confirmed stay. Paid and free differ by word and fill — not by colour alone.
- ₽ · nightsFor money: a white mark, Ink border, the currency sign and the term.
- visitWithout money: an Ink mark, Dusk text, the word for the form.
- exchangeSelected: a Dusk ring inside an Ink outline, the mark slightly larger.
- District: a Dusk hexagon at 28% with an Ink outline; selected — 50% and a thicker outline. Dusk on the map ground is 1.61:1, so only under an Ink outline.
Name
AbsoHome
In Russian it is written “Абсохо́ум”, stressed on “хо”.
- Abso- from Absolute plus a plain word for what it is — as with Absopit. Absohome has 8 letters, like absolute.
- The mark uses Latin letters only. There is no Cyrillic “абс + mark + хоум”.
- Until the trademark is registered, the Latin name has a Russian twin: “AbsoHome (Абсохоум)” in the site footer (Russian Federal Law 53-FZ art. 3; Consumer Protection Law art. 10.1 as amended by 168-FZ). Where the line falls — an application filed or the mark registered — is for the trademark attorney to confirm.
- “Home” describes housing and gets no protection (Russian Civil Code art. 1483 para. 1), and the Absolut group has already registered “Absolut Home” for temporary accommodation. So the mark rests on the combined sign with the pin. A search by a trademark attorney comes before the public launch.
Absodom — no
The word holds “содом” whole — Russian for “mess, noise, commotion” — and it reads as Sodom in English, Sodoma in Spanish.
Reserve name: AbsoStay. Plan B: a “Homes” section inside Absolute.
Voice
Speak to “you”. Short, with verbs of action. Strength and abundance — never “we help” or “we support”. In Russian, no past tense and no short adjectives that tell the reader’s gender. No slang, no exclamation marks.
Do
The request goes to the host. The answer comes within 48 hours.
Don’t
Your request has been successfully submitted.
Why: Present tense and action. In Russian the past tense also tells the reader’s gender, so the rule starts there.
Do
Hosting from March? Mark the dates in the calendar.
Don’t
Are you ready to host guests?
Why: In Russian “ready” is gendered. In any language, ask about the thing, not about the reader.
Do
Reviews only after a stay here.
Don’t
Reviews are left by those who stayed here.
Why: Past tense, and the reader is put among “those”.
Do
Put your home on the map — it’s free.
Don’t
We’ll help you list your property!
Why: “We help” and the exclamation mark miss the voice.
Do
Money on arrival day, after you see the place. A request to pay earlier is a reason to press “Report”.
Don’t
Never transfer money in advance!
Why: The rule sounds calm and gives an action instead of a scare.
Do
For those who work remotely: a desk, Wi-Fi, quiet.
Don’t
The ultimate WFH hack for nomads.
Why: Slang misses. Liveliness comes from rhythm and precision.
